There was a time, in my young adulthood, when I was caged by my own fears. I had an awakening in my 28th year and struggled free through most of that year. The culmination was a trip of several months to Vence, France. While there, I experienced an artistic revelation - allowing myself to write and believe in my poetry. One of my first poems was a small ode to the hotel where I was staying - The Mas de Vence. The poem was not particularly good, but the manager enjoyed it and had me enter it into a book that they had celebrities sign. I felt important artistically. So, I have always wanted to honor that moment, and this small group is my attempt at such.
